Citrix Provisioning and App Layering
Citrix admins now have the capability to provision a catalog of VMs with persistent data disks (i.e., secondary volumes) in AWS environments. Previously, master images (AMIs) with secondary volumes attached were not allowed, only AMIs with just a root volume. This capability will now allow admins to use AMIs with a secondary volume to provision VMs with a persistent data disk.
Note that the AMI and machine profile source VM must have the data disk with a device name of xvd[h-z]. xvd[f-g] are not valid device names for Citrix to provision the data disk.
