What's new and upcoming with Citrix technology and features

FAS support with the Citrix Cloud Gov control plane environment, allowing the benefits of FAS in Gov deployments.

With this feature, admins will be able to specify store names while adding stores to Citrix Workspace app. Store names make identifying and distinguishing the stores easier for end users. 

With the warning and error widget on the Home page, you can view all warning and errors from your DaaS deployments in one place. The widget streamlines issue resolution by consolidating scattered alerts, enhancing visibility, and reducing troubleshooting time.

With this feature, when creating a machine catalog, VMs are not provisioned at catalog creation time, but rather the first time VMs are powered on. For non-persistent catalogs, the OS disk is deleted when the VM power state is set to Off, and recreated when the VM is powered up. The AWS on-demand provisioning feature reduces your storage costs and provides faster catalog creation.

In AWS environments, you can create an MCSIO enabled MCS machine catalog. This feature is supported only for non-persistent machine catalogs.

You can create connections to Nutanix PC that manages multiple AHV clusters on hybrid cloud, create catalogs, and manage VMs in the catalogs.  

By default, Citrix Provisioning uses Kerberos when communicating with the SOAP Service in an Active Directory environment. With this enhancement, you can run the Configuration Wizard to create the SPN. 

With this feature, you can now use the Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Setup Wizard to create target VMs on a XenServer 8 host.

With this feature, you can change the default log level of all new target devices in a farm defined in Farm Properties. You can also change the log level of an existing collection and all target devices in that collection in just one step.

You can now check the logs of the provisioning operations to enable better self-service and reduce the time to resolve the issues.
